flower template

I'm so glad to have come across styleguide.com.au today! They have lots of nifty templates available for download, such as this, the flower shown on the bottom left. You can get very creative with it - different colors, textures, centers, trims; and there are lots of places they can be used. You might want to try using fabrics and making a flower for your hair.

Shovin' Buddies

I think it would be so cute to take some group wedding pics like this group of friends playfully shoving each other. : )

new square cupcake trees!

I went to check out cupcaketree.com the other day and saw they added some square cupcake trees. I thought it was pretty cool. : ) We also decided that we want our frosting to look like it does in this picture, but light blue & really light blue instead.
These sell for $44 & $32. You customize them yourself (the best part).

blue & gold wedding
blue & gold wedding - by aannggiiee on Polyvore.com

I threw this set together on Polyvore last night because we have switched up our colors! See the handsome brown tuxes? They are the cause of it all. Mathew and I went to check out tuxes for him and his groomsmen, and he pointed out a brown one, and we both really liked the idea. And I just couldn't have black bridesmaid dresses anymore - I knew that. I know that people say "people say it's a faux pas, but those people are wrong," however, I am not against it because of any rules, I just am not partial to black and brown together.
Somehow these brown tuxes led to us not being able to have any form of purple or red... but I really like light blue and gold, so I should be ok. I think it's all going to look really nice.

$68 dress!

I saw this at Nordstrom for $68, not even on sale! Isn't it lovely? I think it's a great deal if you want something simple. You can always fancy it up by adding a broach or appliqué, wearing snazzy gloves, a veil, and some eye-catching jewelry. The simplicity of it can be great for the right wedding.

Ping Pong Globe Lights

I found this project yesterday, and I just might do it!
I love globe lights, but they can be very expensive, especially if you want a bunch of them.
With this project, you can use any color of Christmas lights, and the ping pong balls diffuse it very nicely.
